Arlington, VA—The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) released its “Top 10 Things You Need to Be Doing Now to Get Ready for PMA@CES”—a list of tips on how to prepare for the big show in Las Vegas, January 10-13, 2012, and the PMA@CES TechZone, which will be held January 10-12, 2012 at The Venetian. And don’t forget about DIMA educational sessions, which will be presented January 8-9, 2012 at Bally’s Las Vegas.

1. Get registered. Go to CESweb.org and register today. Registration is only $100 until December 30 when it increases to $200, so don’t delay! The International CES badge will give you access to both the 2012 CES and the DIMA conference in Las Vegas, which takes place two days prior to the opening of CES.

2. Book your flight. Book your flight early to nab the best deals. Check out sites such as Kayak and Expedia that show you the best prices across different airlines. Once your flight is booked, download the TripIt app (TripIt.com) to your smartphone to keep track of your itinerary.

3. Book a hotel. Don’t end up without a place to stay; book your hotel now! Find CES hotel room blocks at CESweb.org/hotels. You can also go through PMA for requests for 10 or more rooms by e-mailing Suzi Barger at sbarger@pmai.org.

4. Plan your visit to the CES show floor. The MyCES Planner allows you to personalize your CES experience with calendars outlining your appointments and maps of the show floor that can help you find the companies you want to see.

5. Check out the 2012 CES exhibitors. Search for companies at the 2012 CES by using the Exhibitor Directory. You can search by product category, exhibit hall and even by country or state. You can also search for exhibitors within PMA@CES by visiting pmai.org.

6. Get the App. Follow Me is a great preshow planning tool and very helpful on-site. Using your smartphone, you can build your CES schedule while on the go and sync it with your MyCES account. FollowMe@CES also features real-time show alerts and interactive floor maps.

7. Follow CES on Facebook and Twitter. Stay connected and informed about the 2012 CES through social media. Visit the official CES Facebook page and keep up to date on the latest CES news by following us on Twitter at @intlCES.
